The body has a country decoration of small perched birds, framed by blue rocaille cartouches and hand-painted highlights. The glaze has a pretty period crackle which testifies to its authenticity. The gilded brass frame was added during a later electrification (20th century); the lamp is functional. The lamp is offered with an antique conical lampshade, with straight sides slightly flared towards the bottom. It is covered with a pleated yellow fabric which diffuses a warm and soft light.
