Expressive table lamp in Plum Black made from a vintage design vase by WGP.

This small wireless accent lamp was made from an original Marei vase – model 7300. It dates from the 1970s. Marei stands for "MAjolikafabrik REInbach (Jean Fuss & Sohn)" and is one of the leading pottery manufacturers in West Germany. The Plum Noir colour presented here is exceptionally intense – a shade currently celebrated as a trendy colour in interior design. The glazing is typical of Marei: extremely vibrant, deep, and rich. The saturated purple has an almost velvety brightness and appears more or less intense depending on the light. The vase is in impeccable condition – no damage, no loss of glazing. Height of the vase: 12 cm, width: 9 cm. Total height of the lamp: approximately 31 cm. The conversion to a lamp is done entirely without drilling or permanent modifications, thanks to a custom, reversible plug-in solution. The small lamp stands securely by weighting the vase with sand. The opening is sealed with a high-quality brass plate, E27 socket with a brass finish. Technology – wireless and flexible: Equipped with a high-quality rechargeable LED bulb: dimmable via remote control (included), warm white or colour selection possible, timer function (15 / 30 / 60 minutes), rechargeable via USB-C, up to 12 hours of illumination time. The lamp is particularly striking when the bulb is set to a colour – the intense Plum Noir of the vase truly begins to shine. The lampshade: Material: African batik-dyed fabric. Bright and contrasting colours with a graphic pattern. The fabric echoes the expressive colours of the vase and enhances its presence.
