This charming little display cabinet in the Louis XVI style features a central glass door at the front, complemented by two fixed side panels, also glass, allowing for optimal visibility of the displayed objects. Its front and sides are slightly curved, giving it a fluid and elegant silhouette. It rests on four cabriole legs adorned with bronze gilt falls and hooves. Perfect stability. This elegant cabinet is richly decorated with mouldings and motifs of scrolls in gilt bronze that frame its panels and pediment. The lower part is decorated with three hand-painted panels in the style of the 17th century, featuring scenes of gallantry and pastoral life, a technique known as vernis Martin, highly prized for prestigious furniture. The central painted panel bears a signature attesting to the work of a specific decorative artist for this piece. The interior has a total of three shelves. Two shelves are made of blown glass, intact, which visually lightens the structure and showcases the contents. The back and interior shelf are upholstered in a bright burgundy fabric, intact, creating a warm contrast with the dark mahogany wood.
