This mirror is a rare and precious work from the early days of Mithé Espelt, a renowned French ceramicist who often remained in the shadows because she rarely signed her pieces. Here, we immediately recognize her characteristic work: a gilded ceramic frame set with turquoise enamel cabochons, all roundness and delicacy. The piece is in superb condition, covered on the back with its original green felt, complete with its hanging ring. A wall decoration, superb in its size and decorative power. This likely dates from her early years of production, making it a particularly sought-after collector's item. Artist: Mithé Espelt. Rare model. Era: 1950s. Technique: Gold crackle glazed ceramic and glazed domed tiles. Colors: Gold, turquoise. Dimensions: H 31.5 cm X W 23.5 cm. Back: Original felt. Condition: Superb, no chips or missing parts. Hanging: Wall ring on the back.
