Powdered marquetry, French work from the Louis XV–Louis XVI Transition period. Charming convertible table, which can serve as a salon table or dressing table, richly adorned with floral marquetry and attributes on all sides. The top consists of three opening leaves revealing a compartmentalised interior, with a retractable central mirror, typical of refined toilet or work furniture. The front features three drawers, including a central drop-front with a writing surface, and internal compartments. The sides and drawers are decorated with figurative marquetry scenes (characters, attributes, floral garlands). It rests on curved legs ending in bronze hooves and is adorned with bronze gilt mounts and lock entries. Work from the 18th century (Louis XV – Louis XVI Transition), Dimensions: Height: 73 cm. Width: 79 cm. Depth: 44 cm. Width when opened: 126 cm. Materials: precious wood and marquetry (rosewood, walnut, stained woods) Condition: Good overall condition.
