A lovely pair of bentwood beechwood bistro chairs, signed Thonet. Made in Czechoslovakia in the 1940s. Original labels are affixed under the seats. Partially restored, they have been sanded and refinished in a medium oak stain from Liberon, revealing the beautiful wood grain. The two seat tops, in good condition, have been reattached. Some traces of the old red/burgundy primer remain. The bentwood crossbars have cracked in places with age, and three screws are missing from one of the chairs (old broken screw threads are embedded in the wood and we were unable to remove them). Nevertheless, they are very stable and still quite sturdy. Beautiful vintage condition. Dimensions: 44 X 84 X 44 cm / Seat height: 46.5 cm. Carefully packaged. I answer all your questions regarding the items and their delivery. Feel free to check out my Selency shop.
