‘70s/‘80s Vintage 620 Leather 2-Seater Sofa by Dieter Rams for Vitsoe

Iconic timeless design: 2-seater sofa model 620 by Dieter Rams for Vitsoe, circa 1970/1980s. The black hand-lacquered shell is made from hot-pressed sheet molding compound, similar to the commonly used fibreglass but considered more durable and stable. The down-filled cushions are covered in high-quality black full leather, offering excellent seating comfort and a luxurious feel. Designed around 1962 as a modular system, the individual units can be assembled into armchairs and sofas. A great example of Rams' work, who is regarded as one of Germany's most important and world-renowned industrial designers. Neat condition with age-related signs of use with some scratches on the back. The seating has been professionally upholstered by its previous owner. Dimensions: W 154 X H 91 X D 80cm.
