Lithograph signed by Michel Henry - The Institute and Notre Dame de Paris

Original lithograph signed in pencil in the margin by the world-renowned French artist Michel HENRY (1922-2002). This work is part of a series of 20 pieces dedicated to Paris, created by the artist in the early 2000s to mark the turn of the millennium. (The complete work is often referred to as "Paris 2000.") Each lithograph in the series features a bouquet in front of a different panorama of the capital. The present lithograph is titled "The Institute and Notre Dame" and depicts a bouquet of poppies in a glass vase in the foreground, along with a glass bowl filled with cherries, set against the backdrop of the City of Paris with two iconic monuments of the French capital: The Institute and Notre Dame. The lithograph is signed in pencil at the bottom right in the margin. It is not numbered or marked as an artist's proof (EA) or Hors Commerce (HC); it is simply signed. This is therefore a copy intended for the artist, the gallery, or a close associate, and is thus just signed. (Or it could be an artist's proof not justified as such by the artist.) Dimensions (including margins): 62 X 44.6 cm. The lithograph is in very good condition! However, there are some "marks/dents" on the paper along the right margin (visible in photos). It is stored flat but will be exceptionally rolled just before delivery. Careful shipping in a sturdy box!.
