Extendable table in Louis XVI style – Golden leather top with small iron – Gilded bronze
Square extendable dining table in Louis XVI style, likely dating from the early 20th century, made of solid mahogany. The top is covered in burgundy red leather with gold tooling, featuring a central baroque motif in gilding and a decorative gold border. A gallery in gilded brass encircles the entire top, characteristic of the French neoclassical repertoire. The four tapered and fluted legs are fitted with gilded bronze caps and feet, typical of the Louis XVI style. The table accommodates three extensions of 45 cm each, bringing the maximum length to 230 cm; the internal structure is made of dark wood. Closed dimensions: 95 X 95 cm, total height 75 cm, height under the frieze 63 cm. Weight: 30 kg. Workshop report: the leather shows wear and surface scratches indicating previous use. Cleaning is required. The operation of the extension system should be checked upon collection. Delivery not included.
