Royal Copenhagen Christmas Plate 2003 complete with box, booklet, and certificate; it is the sixth in the series and is titled "Christmas Eve Evening, " designed by Ingrid Jensen. Plate number 4871 A. The box includes the second plate with the same illustration. Since 1998, Royal Copenhagen has started producing the Christmas plate dedicated to children with illustrations that represent the joy that Christmas inspires in children. The plate is made of white porcelain with decorations in various shades of blue. Each plate has been produced in limited quantities only and exclusively in the year of the first release, which takes place from 1st March, and production ends at the end of the year with the destruction of the original mould, making any reproduction impossible. As a guarantee of authenticity, the plate bears the Royal Copenhagen mark with the three overlapping wavy lines, representing the three Danish straits: Øresund, the Great Belt, and the Little Belt, as well as the initials of the painter who created the unique illustration of the plate. The plate measures 17 cm in diameter. On the back, it has two holes made by Royal Copenhagen during production for hanging purposes.
