"Casino" cutlery set for 6 people by Sedasco, France, 1970s

The set consists of 6 forks and 6 knives. Each knife is marked "Sedasco, France". The cutlery is made of stainless steel with red ABS plastic handles. Original and vibrant Neo Pop design. For a bit of history, this cutlery was ordered from Sedasco France by Géant Casino supermarkets for the opening of Casino cafeterias in the 1970s. Unfortunately for them, customers loved the cutlery so much that they would take it home. The cafeterias quickly decided to remove this pop-designed cutlery in favour of traditional tableware that no one would want to steal. The offered lots were acquired from a Casino establishment manager who retrieved the tableware removed from the cafeterias. The set is in very good condition with very slight signs of wear.
