Rare pair of women's ice skates, Schumacher St. Moritz, circa 1910-11.

Exceptional pair of vintage ice skates for women, dating from the early 20th century (circa 1910-1930), in remarkable condition. A true collector's item, it embodies the elegance of winter sports of yesteryear and the refinement of the great alpine resorts. The boots retain their prestigious original gold leaf marking "SCHUMACHER A.G. BOTTIER ST. MORITZ", a signature of high-end bespoke craftsmanship from the legendary Swiss resort of St. Moritz. The polished steel blades are stamped "OSH FRÈRES", a French house renowned for the quality of its fine hardware, a guarantee of authenticity and historical robustness. Period size 5 E, equivalent to a current French size 38 (standard to comfortable fit). Outer sole length: approximately 24.8 cm. The set is complemented by its two original brown canvas transport bags, rare accessories highly sought after by collectors. The brown leather is particularly well preserved: supple, healthy, without cracks, with a superb natural patina. The stitching remains strong, attesting to the quality of period craftsmanship.
