This is an old pair of ice hockey skates from the Canadian manufacturer Alviera, model Pete Laliberté, in size 40. Gaëtan Laliberté (1930-2006), known as Pete, is recognised in France for his role as a coach in hockey clubs such as Grenoble, Lyon, and Strasbourg, as well as for being the coach of the French national team for 13 years. The French Hockey Federation chose to name the trophy for the Coupe de France after the Canadian coach following his death in 2006.
