Oil painting on cardboard, Impressionist landscape attributed to the painter Clemente Pugliese Levi (Vercelli, 1855 - Milan, 1936). On the back, it bears the signature and inscription of the painter Levi Puglia. Good condition, small corner missing from the upper right part. With a gilded frame. Dimensions: frame 43x34 cm, painting 33x25 cm. Pugliese Levi played a leading role in the flourishing school of Piedmontese landscape painting at the end of the 19th century. Having abandoned his scientific studies to dedicate himself to painting, he was a student of Enrico Gamba at the Albertina Academy. An interpreter of a pure and refined landscape, he was able to look at the great international artists while embracing Impressionist suggestions. This landscape is part of the artist's typical production.
