Louis XVI buffet with mirror, marble, and bronze fittings.

Elegant buffet from the time of Napoleon III. Made from high-quality and luxurious materials, in the Louis XVI style of the mid-19th century. Furniture made of solid mahogany, fully covered with walnut burl veneer with rosewood marquetry inserts; trim present on all elements: drawer fronts, cupboard fronts, sides, and around the mirror. Solid bronze fittings signed "J.P. Deposited". Buffet with 3 doors and 3 drawers featuring a large white marble top with brown veins, 27 mm thick. The whole is topped with a beautiful oval bevelled mirror with a pediment in the shape of a raised eagle, all in bronze. The furniture's uprights form a quarter circle, finished with a bronze drop framing the drawers. The drawers are equipped with lovely bronze handles featuring leaf motifs. The cupboard doors are fitted with a functional original lock, beautifully decorated keyholes. 1 key provided. 4 front legs in the Louis XVI style, tapered with bronze sabot: solid support. Buffet in very good original condition. Mercury mirror, bevelled all around, no loss of reflection. Clean and smooth marble. Furniture is sound, stable, and solid. Buffet measurements without the mirror: 128 cm wide, 114 cm high, 52 cm deep. Mercury mirror/glass: 97/43 cm. Bronze eagle pediment: 35x12x10 cm. Usable interior cupboard dimensions: 127 cm wide, 71 cm high, 36 cm deep. Signature "L.P. Deposited" on the back of the bronze fittings.
