Overview. Pair of neoclassical Biedermeier side chairs, originating from Vienna, circa 1820. Solid mahogany frames with ebony inlays and black velvet seat upholstery. Design. Open back with three slender horizontal slats and a rectangular top rail for an elegant silhouette. Straight front legs with slightly splayed rear legs and a simple rectangular seat frame. Materials. Main construction in solid mahogany with decorative ebony inlay. Upholstered seat in structured black velvet with a double keder edge. Dimensions. Width: 51 cm; Depth: 51 cm; Height: 89 cm.
