Rare and elegant pair of Art Deco wall sconces, made around 1925 in chrome-plated bronze and moulded pressed glass in a shell shape. The glass, in Nacrocrystal, features a finely stylised floral decoration in slight relief, typical of the Art Deco aesthetic of the interwar period. The satin frosted glass diffuses a soft and enveloping light, while the structured ribbing shapes the form and highlights the quality of the moulding. The whole offers a perfect balance between decorative and modernity, characteristic of high-level Belgian productions from this period. This model was produced at the Val Saint-Lambert Crystal Works and appears in a catalogue from Proll Frères in Brussels, dated from the late 1920s to early 1930s. The glass used, known commercially as "Nacrocrystal", was notably distributed by La Lustrerie Bruxelloise, as well as by other retailers and lighting manufacturers in Belgium and France, attesting to the renown and quality of this production. This pair perfectly embodies the Art Deco spirit: an elegant, structured modernity, where the decorative richness remains controlled and serves the light. Condition: Very good original condition. Electrical system completely renewed. Dimensions: – Height: 25 cm. – Width: 26 cm. – Depth: 15 cm. A rare and decorative set, ideal for a refined interior or a design project respectful of authentic Art Deco aesthetics.
