Superb two-door wardrobe from the Louis XIV / Regency period, made of solid walnut and showcasing the craftsmanship of 18th-century French cabinetmaking. The two doors are adorned with sculpted arched panels, a characteristic motif of the Louis XIV style, framed by finely worked mouldings. The overhanging cornice at the top gives the whole piece a remarkable presence. The base rests on beautiful turned ball feet, typical of the period. The wood has a natural golden patina, acquired over the centuries, which attests to the age and authenticity of the piece. The forged lock and its original key are still functional. Furniture in very good overall condition, stable and solid. No recent restoration — in its original state. Dimensions: H. 233 cm × W. 150 cm × D. 63 cm. Ideal for a character home, a manor house, or an interior combining the old and the contemporary.
