Majestic bar cabinet designed by Vittorio Dassi for La Permanente Mobili di Cantù, a famous Italian designer active in the mid-20th century. Made of rosewood, it features an original chevron design on its main modules due to the arrangement of the wood grain. The upper half is divided into three compartments, each with its own key; the central compartment opens like a bar and is fully covered with mirrors, with a glass shelf. The sides are also divided by a glass shelf. Gold-plated bronze handles. The lower part is open, with a sculpted and gilded back forming small reliefs that create a play of light and shadow. Beneath the central door is a curved shelf. Base in smoked mahogany-coloured glass. The façade has a recessed shape, with the side modules protruding from the central panel. This central panel is particularly remarkable for its decoration: a carved and gilded wooden bas-relief, featuring an Art Deco style scene depicting board games, dice, cards, chess pieces, as well as doves and butterflies. This door opens horizontally.
