1950s Jindřich Halabala Record Cabinet – Walnut Mid-Century Design Icon

Conceived at a time when furniture was expected to harmonise technology, craftsmanship, and domestic elegance, this piece is a masterful example of that ambition. The cabinet is presented in exceptional, near-museum condition. Its surface covered in shellac and nitrocellulose varnishes, achieving a deep, lustrous gloss that enhances the walnut’s natural grain. All hardware — including door handles, hinges, cables, wiring, and the original key — remains authentic to the piece.
