Modernist sewing box 1960

This functional piece of furniture from the 1960s serves as a work table, a storage unit, and a side table. Its inverted U-shaped base made of square-section tubular metal encases a plywood box veneered in dark mahogany. The top, articulated by a fine piano hinge, reveals a removable compartment and two sections. A drawer with a gold handle adds to the practicality of this well-crafted and thoughtfully designed small piece of furniture. Moreover, it is in perfect condition, almost as good as new.
