Unique floor lamp "Papavero" designed by Castiglioni for Flos, Italy, 1970s. One-of-a-kind piece, available at the showroom in Marseille. Worldwide delivery possible with a personalised quote and assistance before purchase. The "Papavero" floor lamp, designed in 1964 by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni and published by Flos. The lamp stands on a thick circular base made of heavily veined white marble, topped with a long cylindrical metal stem. This supports a large diffuser made of white opaline glass, blown and open at the top, with a flared shape reminiscent of a flower's corolla. Once lit, the opaline glass diffuses a soft and even light while highlighting the particularly sleek lines of the lamp. With its minimal construction and the combination of marble, metal, and opaline glass, the "Papavero" is an iconic piece of Italian design from the 1960s. DIMENSIONS: 181x36cm and base: ø26cm.
