Antique wicker basket with closure and handle

Antique wicker basket with a clasp and handle. There are some small gaps in the wicker ties, particularly at one corner; the clasp loops have been replaced with imitation leather braiding. A forged metal rod (likely reused from an old tool) secures the basket for transport. There is slight wear on the underside and one segment of the handle is weak (though still functional). In good overall condition, it has been thoroughly cleaned and treated with a mixture of linseed oil and turpentine. It's both attractive and useful (for storing laundry, fruits, and vegetables, etc.). Dimensions: 44 X 30 X 30 cm. Carefully packaged.
