Mid-century Dornstab table lamp in teak by A. Pöll for Kalmar

Vintage Design. Rare version of the Dornstab lamp by Kalmar. A classic of early design, whose elegance comes from the functionality of the design. The uniqueness lies in the arrangement of the lampshade. The sword-shaped rod passes through the lampshade and emerges from the top opening. The construction allows for manual height adjustment. Pins are regularly placed at the top of the rod to suspend the lampshade. Another feature is the design of the base, which is forked into two prongs supporting the load of the cantilevered rod. The cable passes through a hole in the base and through a brass grommet.
