Sublime geometric vide-poche (or ashtray) in Murano glass by the famous glassmaker Flavio Poli (1960s). This sculptural piece perfectly illustrates the elegance of the golden age of Mid-Century Modern Italian design. It is made using the demanding Sommerso technique: a deep emerald green core is beautifully enveloped in a luminous amber yellow halo, all encapsulated in a thick block of remarkably dense clear crystal (778g for 6.5cm in height). The quality of the craftsmanship is exceptional. The block has been entirely cold-cut with a wheel to sculpt facets with surgical sharpness. A detail of immense rarity and a mark of high quality: the base features a structured "diamond point" finish. This underlying geometric relief acts as a kinetic optical prism, multiplying the refraction of light and colours on the internal walls. Features and Dimensions: • Width: 13 cm. • Height: 6.5 cm. • Weight: 778 g. Condition is extremely rare: "Mint" (perfect): no chips, no cracks, or even the slightest micro-scratch. The object has retained its original brilliance. Premium shipping: Ultra-secure packaging guaranteed. The piece will be meticulously protected in double rigid and shockproof cardboard, specifically designed for the secure transport of fragile artworks.
