Art Nouveau vase by Antoine Bompard

Large vase signed by Antoine Bompard, probably from the late nineteenth century in the Art Nouveau/Art Deco style. Antoine Bompard was a ceramicist born in the 19th century and died in 1909. He established one of the first ceramic factories in Auvergne at Lezoux, a place known since antiquity for its ceramics. This factory is now classified as a historical monument, and Antoine Bompard's ceramics are rare. This piece is in excellent condition despite its great age of approximately 150 years.
