Manufacture Robert Four – Ateliers Néolice, Felletin. The IRISÉE rug is a creation of the Manufacture Robert Four, made on a digital Jacquard loom in the Ateliers Néolice in Felletin, at the heart of the Aubusson region. Since the takeover of these workshops in 2022, the manufacture has continued a tradition of excellence by combining technical innovation with artisanal quality. The Néolice process allows for a weaving of great finesse, preserving the look and sensitivity of a handmade tapestry, while addressing challenges that traditional industrial weaving cannot meet. The design is distinguished by an elegant and highly decorative composition. A stylised female figure, treated in soft lines and simplified forms, is set within a space structured by a graphic frame. The floral motifs and decorative punctuations, combined with a play of solid colours, evoke a reinterpreted Art Deco aesthetic, blending sensuality, geometry, and poetry. The colour palette, dominated by warm pinks, deep blues, and water greens, gives the whole a refined and timeless atmosphere. Thanks to its Jacquard weaving, IRISÉE is a fine, lightweight rug with a short pile, particularly elegant. Its flexibility and lightness allow for both floor use and wall presentation, like a tapestry, fully showcasing its design and artistic dimension. Each creation from the Ateliers Néolice comes with a certificate of authenticity issued by the Manufacture Robert Four, specifying the location and production technique as well as the artist or their rights holder who originated the model. IRISÉE thus remains a unique, decorative, and singular rug, a testament to contemporary textile craftsmanship rooted in the great French tradition. Dimensions: 170x240 cm. Condition: used; there are signs of wear on the edges, some wool disturbed in places, as well as several light stains that blend harmoniously.
