Vintage scandinavian modern oak & crimson fabric nya flugan armchairs from bröderna anderssons

This pair of nya flugan armchairs was made by swedish manufacturer bröderna anderssons during the 1950s. This model is a response to the popular designs of the time by bengt ruda. In form, it refers to the triva model. The elegant armchair frame is made of oak, finished in a dark shade of brown. The rounded back and seat cushions have been newly upholstered in high-quality crimson fabric. The armchairs are very comfortable and the carved, slightly reclined frame adds character. Their zoomorphic form is quintessentially scandinavian mid-century modern. The original signature metal plate is under the seat. Bröderna anderssons is a family business founded in 1946 by three brothers: sven, inge and max andersson. What characterizes bröderna anderssons tradition more than anything else is swedish quality, craftsmanship and pride in creating each piece of furniture. The secret to the success of these artisans lies in traditional handicrafts. At bröderna anderssons, the entire production chain is kept in the manufactory.
