Saint-Louis set of 6 antique liqueur glasses Metra in coloured double crystal Roemer Overlay

This sublime set of 6 liqueur glasses is made of double-cut crystal from Saint-Louis. Lined with beautiful coloured hues, it is an antique service dating from the 1930s: Metra. The overlay technique is a specialty of Saint-Louis: a first layer of transparent crystal is covered with a second layer of coloured crystal, which is then cut to reveal the underlying crystal. With a beautiful range of colours, these glasses are adorned with a diagonal cut topped with a frieze of stars. This is the Métra model from Saint-Louis (see 1930 catalogue Pl 28 and 20). The glasses are burgundy, violet, navy blue, yellow, green, and pink. Unsigned (dating from before 1936), they are in very good condition and measure 12 cm in height X 4.8 cm in diameter. I note some signs of use.
