Black ash and steel bar cabinet, 1970s

An elegant 1970s bar cabinet in black-stained ash, with the open grain remaining visible beneath the deep finish. The case is framed at the top and bottom by brushed steel bands, and the four doors are fitted with small cylindrical brass-tone knobs, grouped at the centre of the front for a clean and symmetrical appearance. The upper doors open to reveal a bar compartment with a pale grey back panel, equipped with two cream bottle holders for three bottles each and an interior lighting system with a switch. Below, two additional compartments separated by a central partition offer adjustable shelves for glasses and storage. Minimal, graphic, and very representative of its era, it functions as a drinks cabinet in a living room or dining room, or as stylish storage in an entrance or office. Condition. In good vintage condition with signs of age and use. The shelf in the upper bar compartment shows visible scratches and scuffs, revealing lighter wood in places. There is a small loss of finish around one of the upper knobs, light surface scratches, and small marks on the fronts, as well as wear on the lower interior shelves. The brushed steel bands have slight scratches and marks. An old piece of tape remains under the top, next to the lighting. The interior lighting system is present (bulb, cable, and switch), but the cable does not have a plug at its end and the lighting has not been tested. It needs to be fitted with a plug and checked by an electrician before use. Structurally solid and stable, all doors open and close properly. Height: 133 cm. Depth: 46 cm. Length: 122 cm.
