Set of 4 Medea dining chairs by Vittorio Nobili for Fratelli Tagliabue, 1955.

Set of 4 dining chairs Medea fully restored by Vitorio Nobili for Fratelli Tagliabue, Italy, 1955. We all know them; it’s simply a very beautiful set of chairs. Rounded shapes and a natural appearance, combined with a good balance of materials, make this model one of the icons of mid-century Italian modernist design. An elegant chair and a true piece of art. Fratelli Tagliabue was one of the first to work with bent plywood, using steam and a mold to create perfect curves. Quite innovative for the time. It evokes the old Riva boats off the coast of Capri, Italy. Dimensions. Width: 46 cm. Height: 82 cm.
