Antique black lacquered sewing table, mahogany side table, 19th century.

Beautiful sewing table or occasional table in black lacquered mahogany, with turned 'bobbin' legs, late 19th century, France. The table top opens, revealing various small compartments on the side and a large compartment in the centre, there is also a trapezoidal drawer at the bottom. Two decorative floral brass bands surround it, which is a very lovely detail. This table originally had a wood colour; someone once decided to completely lacquer it in black, resulting in a decorative and very useful object that fits perfectly into any interior! The table is in good antique condition, some dividers inside are missing, a superficial crack due to age on the top, the whole is very charming and presents a beautiful patina of age, the key is missing, please consult the photos for more details!
