Lithograph 1882 "Foule" signed by Michel Houssin (born in 1941)

Very beautiful engraving dated 1982 signed at the lead mine by michel houssin (artist very well referenced, bio attached). Currently framed for its protection, the work will be sent without a frame under a rigid roller. Good state of conservation, a trace of discreet moisture on the lower part of the work. Sheet dimension: 80 / 120 cm. Bibliography: Michel houssin has devoted himself solely to drawing for almost 30 years. Considering color as a camouflage of reality, his series of landscapes and faces, find their fusion in his very large drawings of foules a kind of landscape conservatory of the human. Michel houssin in the 70s paints increasingly dark canvases. In line with yves klein's radical gesture he reworked some by burning them. In 1979, the year of the birth of his daughter rachel, a very dark painting burns completely in the fireplace without it being able to interrupt the process. This will be his last painting, his farewell to colors. With painting what he leaves is the canvas and its frame. His domain now is that of the leaf. If he devotes himself to studies as in the recent portraits of his students at the villa arson in nice, he gives himself the limits of a measured time and keeps the commercial format of the paper.
