Vintage 1940s/50s Solid Oak Danish Farmhouse Chairs, Baroque style set of 4

Our head of wood restoration looked at these chairs and remarked that they carry the feeling of a farmer becoming a king. That captures them perfectly. At first glance, they seem simple—solid frames in thick, natural oak, aged with character, and a low back that doesn’t demand attention. But a closer look reveals their true qualities: a wealth of intricate carvings along the legs and crossbars, craftsmanship that speaks volumes. The broad, deep seat ensures lasting comfort, even through long gatherings at the table. The almost square, understated form recalls the farmer’s chair—a chair of the people. Countless versions have been made, even by famous designers, yet this set of four stands as a true archetype of rustic, noble furniture. Seat Height: 18.12 in (46 cm). The upholstery is in good condition, with no significant stains, though there is visible wear on one corner of a single chair. We do not recommend reupholstering at this stage; they are best enjoyed as they are until the wear becomes more pronounced. Overall, the set is in excellent condition, with joints that remain perfectly solid and stable. They are from the early 20th centurie and is around 1940s/50s design.
