Antique and sturdy double front doors made of solid oak, 227 cm high and 142.2 cm wide, fully doweled and varnished on the inside. Sold with its oak frame, 280.8 cm high (+2 cm for anchoring in the masonry) and 149.7 cm wide, including a glazed transom window measuring 40 cm high and 139.5 cm wide. This transom window consists of two panes with secondary glazing and a protective grille with seven decorated metal and bronze bars. The exterior finish has some gaps and flaking; the varnish has completely disappeared in some places, revealing the almost bare oak. The double door has a water jet at the bottom. This weather-exposed side is solid and in good condition; the finish needs to be redone to either protect it naturally or to refinish it in the desired color. The interior is in beautiful condition, although some signs of wear and age are visible on the varnish, which has bubbled in places (see numerous photos). This side features the two secondary glazing frames on the transom, which were added later. Both windows can be opened for safe ventilation. The upper section requires minor restoration (see photo). There are two pulls, one at the top and one at the bottom, to secure the right-hand leaf. It was later (showing traces of old bolts) fitted with a surface-mounted multi-point lock that works, and whose vertical bar also secures the opening at the top and bottom. We have the key and the fixing brackets that must be installed on the masonry to accommodate the frame, visible in the last photos. The doors are solid and heavy, weighing 40 and 43 kg, the frame with the transom 40 kg, for a total of approximately 123 kg. Dimensions: frame: 282.8cm high, 149.7cm wide and 4.6cm thick, and the double door: 227cm high by 142.2cm (internal frame dimensions). ref422.
