The vase is in very good condition, no major accidents, no cracks. However, it is worth noting a break in enamel on one of the circular reliefs surrounding the piece, the very last one at the bottom, visible in the photos. The enamel jump is probably quite old, and measures approximately 9 mm long by 3 mm wide and 2 mm deep, that is to say really the top of the protruding part of the relief. I also noted two very small jumps of enamel on the outer edge of the collar, approximately one millimeter by 1.5 millimeters, and barely visible. Minimal shine, same under the reverse. The piece is very beautifully made, heavy and harmonious, with a beautiful cracked matte vanilla exterior enamel, and satin cloudy pinkish beige for the interior of the piece. The play of circular and vertical reliefs creates a rhythm entirely typical of the art deco period. The piece is not marked, but I think it is a piece made by pol chambost in his early days, before the second war. Chambost, a graduate of the school of applied arts in industry, founded a ceramic workshop in ivry-sur-seine in the early 1930s, specializing in funerary art and decorative earthenware. Mobilized in 1939, he resumed his creations in 1943, particularly in relation to department stores. Pol chambost then participated in the resumption of post-war artistic salons. This period liberated his production which then turned towards more significant and evocative creations. French production from the 1930s.
