Rolly red enameled canvas pendant light 42 cm

Beautiful and large pendant light in red enameled canvas surrounded by black rubber which dates from the 70s or 80s with a handle underneath. It was a suspension with a mechanism well known at the time, the rolly system which allowed the lamp to be raised and lowered, as desired, very easily, just by pulling the handle. Unfortunately, the system no longer works (spring cable relaxed and mechanism damaged), you will therefore have to replace the wiring (I don't know if we still find this type of system or if you will have to install simple wiring). Despite everything, this pendant light has some great assets: the enameling of the lampshade is in good condition, the red color is very dapper and shiny (more than in the photos), no corrosion, few scratches and very barely visible , just two or three tiny losses of red lacquer and a slightly stained area (it is very barely visible) on the white enamelling. The socket (original) has an integrated switch above the lampshade (which can be practical if you do not have a wall switch on the intended circuit, but if it is put in the on position, the lamp will then be controlled by your wall switches). The black plastic eyebolt cover is in good condition. The lamp works, I tested it. The lampshade measures 42 cm in diameter with a height of approximately 12 cm and approximately 20 cm measuring between the bottom of the handle and the top of the socket.
