Charming little pitcher or milk jug in Puisaye stoneware with a beautiful, slightly pyrite glaze, mixing soft and comforting tones: beige, caramel and chocolate, typical material and colors of the 70s. It is not signed, but we recognize at first glance the very particular work on the glaze of Jean-Pierre Prud'homme. This ceramist did not sign all his pieces, especially when they were part of a larger service. And further proof if needed: I found it among other pieces signed JP these ones. It has a pretty rounded shape. A beautiful artisanal work of Jean-Pierre Prud'homme who founded with his wife an artisanal pottery workshop in 1971 in Monnaie, working with clay from Nièvre (Puisaye stoneware). This workshop still exists today (Au grès du vent workshop), it is run by his son Benoît Prud'homme who took over in the 1990s-2000s and also creates very beautiful ceramics. This pitcher dates from the 70s and is in perfect condition, no cracks, no chips, not even a chip. It measures 8 cm in height, 12 cm in width from the bowl to the handle, approximately 9 cm in maximum diameter. I offer several other ceramics by Jean-Pierre Prud'homme, do not hesitate to take a look at my shop here and to contact me if you wish to order several so that I can adjust the shipping costs for a grouped shipment.
