A413/2F Thonet armchair by Josef Frank from the 1930s

Rare armchair model A413/2F, designed by Josef Frank for Thonet in 1930. This exceptional model combines the classic tradition of Viennese bentwood with Josef Frank's modern design language. Its elegant silhouette, gracefully curved armrests, and distinctive Viennese wicker backrest make it one of the most remarkable seating designs of Austrian modernism. Made of bent beech with a lacquered finish, a plywood seat, and the original woven wicker backrest. The original Thonet factory stamp is present. Today, Josef Frank is regarded as one of the most influential designers of the 20th century. Original early Thonet editions of his designs are rarely found on the market and are highly sought after by collectors worldwide. Condition: Good vintage condition with authentic patina and signs of age-related wear. The original Viennese wicker is in very good condition.
