Refined and antique three-branch chandelier in bronze, dating from the late 19th century or early 20th century. The piece clearly fits within the Eclectic / Historicist style, with strong reminiscences of the Italian Renaissance and Baroque. Elements such as the putto and the rich ornamentation of scrolls evoke classical statuary and 19th-century ornamental furniture (Historicist or Neo-Renaissance style). The base rests on richly crafted feet with scrolls and supports a sculpted shaft representing a putto in high relief. The upper part develops into three curved arms richly decorated, topped with chased candle holders. The complexity of the form and the sharpness of the details testify to a manufacture by lost-wax casting, complemented by manual chasing. A magnificent burnished patina highlights the sculptural quality of this artwork, ideal for enhancing a classic or eclectic decor.
