French vintage brass metal and wood lantern ceiling light white glass shade.the sturdy brass and metal framework features ornate detail around the shade holder and three scrolled arms with acanthus leaf and floral detailing from which the chains hang. The light is suspended by three chains which are attached at the top to a single chain, central bar and patterned cup style ceiling fitter. At the base is a round wooden ball with groove detail which is finished at the bottom with a decorative finial. The lantern is completed with a round white opaline glass shade, diffusing light beautifully to create a soft, warm ambiance.the light has original french braided twin core wiring and takes 1 small screw in bulb e14s. The framework of the lantern is in good, solid vintage condition, showcasing marks, pitting, and a charming patina that is consistent with its age and adds to its authentic character. The glass shade and wooden bowl are in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks just minor age related marks.
