Antique chandelier, Art Nouveau style, with a drop mechanism.

Antique oil chandelier with a lift system in Liberty style dating back to the early 1900s. This type of pendant lamp combines the functionality of the era with a refined aesthetic, characterised by well-defined elements. The upper dome and lower bowl, made of white opaline glass, are ideal for diffusing light softly and evenly. The cage and decorative metal elements in gold are enhanced by geometric and floral cut-outs typical of the Liberty period. The spherical counterweight positioned at the top along the chains allowed for raising or lowering the lamp body to facilitate lighting, refuelling, or adjusting the brightness in the room. At the centre, the original burner with the tank for oil or petroleum is visible. This lamp has been electrified and was used as a regular ceiling chandelier.
