Ceramic soup pot La Hulotte, Ateliers Pierlot, Ratilly

Cauldron or soup tureen in handmade ceramic with a lid and small handles bearing the signature La chouette Hulotte at the base. Work from the workshops of Jeanne and Norbert Pierlot, at the Château de Ratilly (Yonne), a prominent site of French art ceramics. Turned and glazed ceramic, in deep brown and brown tones, with natural nuances related to the firing process. Period: 1955–1965. Total width with handles: 22 cm. Height: 16 cm. Very good condition, no chips, cracks, or restorations.
