Table in solid elm, Seltz, France, 1990s

This solid elm table features a large disc at its centre, resting on wooden balls, allowing it to rotate freely during exchanges. The discreet geometry of the tabletop, formed by meticulous assembly, reveals the beauty of the elm's grain. Valued for its irregular grain, flames, and waves, this wood offers a living material whose reliefs are revealed differently with each change in light. The base, made up of five intertwined curved slats, creates an impression of movement, suspended at the slightest breath. In very good condition.
