Beautiful set of 8 antique dessert plates in English earthenware from the J. Marshall & Co. Factory, decorated with the Bosphorus pattern. A model from the late 19th century with an Oriental charm, featuring an elegant purple decoration depicting a landscape inspired by the Bosphorus and a rich floral border. Very decorative, they will fit perfectly on a beautiful table or in a collection of antique English earthenware. General good condition for their age. One plate has a visible hairline crack in the base (see photo), structure remains sound. Age-related glaze cracks. Presence of black spots and signs of wear on some pieces. Signs of use and small scratches. Slight chipping in places. See photos that complement the description. Beautiful old patina and a cohesive set, probably dating from the late 19th century.
