Louis-Philippe walnut burr wardrobe – 19th century. Beautiful Louis-Philippe period wardrobe in walnut and walnut burr veneer, featuring a sober and elegant façade highlighted by remarkable symmetrical grain. It opens with two large moulded doors revealing a fully fitted interior with shelves, offering significant storage capacity. The quality of the veneer and the richness of the natural patterns of the burr give this piece all its elegance and character. The overhanging straight cornice, the understated uprights, and the scalloped base resting on bracket feet perfectly illustrate the refined aesthetic of bourgeois furniture from the mid-19th century. The interior in natural wood is sound and functional. This wardrobe can be used as a storage piece in a bedroom, library, office, or country house. Period: Louis-Philippe, circa 1840-1850. Materials: solid walnut and walnut burr veneer. Opening: two doors. Interior layout: storage shelves. Dimensions: H 215 X W 130 X D 60 cm. Condition: good overall condition, with a beautiful old patina and slight signs of use consistent with the age of the piece. (Signs of pinprick and lifting veneer at the cornice). An elegant 19th-century wardrobe, appealing due to the exceptional quality of its walnut burr and the timeless sobriety of its lines.
