Table top by George Nelson for Vitra

Vintage design. Rare side table by Vitra based on a project by George Nelson from 1949. This copy comes from the Vitra reissue of 2001. The table has not been in production since 2004. This little-known design classic is appealing due to its delicate construction. The fork-shaped leg easily supports the overhanging table surface. The table surface is made of slatted wood. The edges are raised, giving the table the appearance of a tray. The table is height-adjustable and can be secured with a large knurled screw. The asymmetrical arrangement of the table leg is functional, allowing the table to be placed close to a sofa, bed, or armchair.
