Golden Metal Cage with Leaf and Multi-Coloured Glass Fruit Decoration

This cage chandelier is organised around a central structure in gilded metal adorned with cut-out foliage, from which six light arms with flower-shaped bobèches radiate. A profusion of blown glass fruits and drops — amber, emerald green, and amethyst — is suspended among the leaves, animating the whole with colourful reflections. The shaft and upper crown echo this fruity decor up to the golden cup ceiling rose. This type of chandelier, joyful and refined, is characteristic of Italian craftsmanship from the 1950s, inheriting the tradition of glass fruit girandoles, in the spirit of Venetian and Florentine productions that captivated the international clientele at the time.
