Room mirror - Bridal mirror - gilded wood - period: XVIIIth century

Rare gilded wooden bedroom mirror, (sometimes called "bridal mirror"). The pediment is decorated with a large rockery centered with a basket, the inner borders of the central mirror are finely carved with friezes of pearls and diamonds. The mercury ice cream is of origin is magnified in the lower part by a decoration of scrolls and leaves of acanthus or figure, in its center, a rosette simulating a sunflower flower.
