Secretary with a curved drop front in floral marquetry, mid-19th century. Elegant drop-front secretary in Louis XV style, made of precious wood with a rich floral marquetry decoration. The façade is adorned with finely executed bouquets in dynamic reserves, offering a beautiful effect of depth and symmetry. The drop front reveals a refined interior composed of small drawers, compartments, and niches, as well as a leather-lined writing surface (later addition), ideal for daily use while retaining its antique charm. The piece opens with four front drawers (one simulated in the upper part behind the drop front) and rests on curved legs. The whole is enhanced with decorative bronzes such as lock entries and a central ornament, highlighting the elegance of the design. Moulded marble top with warm tones, perfectly suited to the curved silhouette of the piece. The drawers are constructed with dovetail joints, demonstrating quality craftsmanship.
